Sorting out the Gold and Silver Coin Mess (13/04/2011)
Hi all, just a quick one...
Many of you are aware that the exchanging of coins from gold to silver and then back again was open to abuse for quite a while. We're really sorry that we didn't spot this earlier and we know it has caused upset in the room.
The bingo sites have said that they will credit bingo cash to anyone who makes the claim...regardless of how they achieved the golds. However, they won't support us with the big prizes. This means that if/when you make a claim for that big prize you've been saving for, we will have to look through your history and any exchange abuse will have to be removed. I really do apologise for this as I know it was our fault in the first place.
I didn't want to simply remove all gold coins from those that have achieved them unfairly (our fault, not yours) and I think that the bingo sites have offered us a fair compromise by allowing bingo cash as prizes. If your big prize claim is failed and gold coins are removed, this is why...
I promise you though that we accept blame for this and will try our best to help - we don't want any member to be unhappy! We will try and keep you with as many golds as possible!
'Just a quick one' - feels like I've been writing for ages, I definitely deserve my 2,000 OMPs lol!
