Our review of mFortune

This well-established brand was launched by Intouch Games in 2007 and has grown to become one of the UK's most popular online gaming sites. It's a casino site, but it does host bingo too, so you get the best of both worlds.

Primarily a mobile site, this is what mFortune is built around, though PC and tablet gaming are an option for those who aren't a fan of mobile. To play on mobile, download the mFortunes bingo app or the slots app depending on what you'd like to play.

It's no surprise that our favourite thing about mFortune is the number of freebies they offer! Free no-deposit bingo is yours once you sign up- all you have to do is activate your account via an SMS message, so no email or card details are required to claim your free £5 bonus.

Do new players get free bonus with no deposit on mFortune?

Register to mFortune and you’ll get a free £5 bonus as soon as your account goes live! This is for you to play and explore the site with, so you can get a feel for how things work before putting down your own money.

Before you even get a chance to play with your bonus, you’re hit with another freebie treat- a spin on a lucky wheel! You could win up to 30 free spins and it costs nothing, so it’s worth a go!Ready to deposit?

mFortune will offer you 100% bonus on your first deposit. Now, we know what you’re thinking- a bonus is all well and good, but it comes with a wagering requirement! Well, not this bonus. The way mFortune works is a little different.

When you deposit, your bonus and deposit amount are added together as a “bonus credit” amount. This can’t be withdrawn, but anything you win from playing with it can be withdrawn whenever you like.

Just be aware- withdrawals under £10 will be charged a £3 fee.

What are the promotions like?

Free no-deposit play is always great, so this is a huge shout for mFortune right off the bat. As well as your generous 100% first deposit offer, they have a 10% redeposit bonus available (when depositing with PayPal, credit/debit card, Paysafecard, or Skrill) to keep you playing after you first join.

Bonus offers are sent via SMS, so if you’re hoping for a little extra to play with on your deposit, make sure you’re subscribed. There are weekly bingo prize draws available, and a good Refer a Friend bonus of £5 plus 50% of the amount of your friend’s first deposit.

What games are available?

mFortune hosts both bingo and slot games, as well as a couple of casino table games. If you want to play bingo, you choose a nickname and avatar, which is fun. On PC, bingo is hosted in its own lobby, and to play on mobile you need the “Bingo by mFortune” app.

There are 11 rooms to choose from, all named after precious stones. Some open at different times and most seem to be running the same ticket price of 10p, but the jackpots and chat hosts vary between them. True, the bingo software looks a little dated, but the chat is active and friendly and it’s clear the chat hosts know how to strike up a conversation with their roomies!

“Bingo Radio” is available in the rooms, and we had fun checking out the different music channels on there. If you’re a social bingo bunny, you can add “buddies” and send them gifts when you’re in the same bingo room!

In terms of slots, you won’t find as many here as other casinos, but the difference is that mFortune develops all their own slots. They’re created in-house, so you won’t find them anywhere else and who knows? You might find a new favourite.

There is the option for free demo play which we love, so you can sit and have a spin without having to spend. This is available on both desktop and mobile.

To play slots on mobile, you need a separate app from the bingo – it’s called “mFortune Casino Mobile Slots”. If you want to play both slots and bingo at the same time, you can do this in the bingo app. You can play a choice of 9 slots on the bingo app, in a small window in front of the bingo lobby.

Is mFortune a scam?

mFortune has been around since 2007; it's one of the longest running UK gambling sites. It is registered with the UK Gambling Commission, which means that the UKGC checks that its games are fair, and that the company is conducting business properly and responsibly.

Deposit methods

mFortune has a number of different payment methods available to allow quick deposits including:

  • Credit card
  • Debit card
  • Skrill
  • Paysafecard
  • PayPal
  • Phone bill

Minimum deposit is £5, and withdrawal is £5.

Our final thoughts

mFortune has created a place to play bingo and slots that differs greatly from other run-of-the-mill casino sites. They create all the slots themselves, meaning that you get a nice change from all the same titles you’re used to seeing.

For mobile players it can be awkward having to download one app, let alone two, to access all the features of a site, but once you have them, it’s easy to use and you know that mFortune is a site that was built with mobile in mind.

By far, the best part of mFortune is lots of good freebies- you get a free bonus and spin of the wheel before you even deposit, so if you like something a little off the beaten track, it’s worth trying this longstanding brand for yourself.
